For two weeks we traveled the length and breadth of Texas for MSN's First and Best, exploring all seven regions in a series of dispatches with photo galleries, audio clips, videos and more. I was the primary field correspondent and secondary photographer on the follow-up to an earlier journey to Texas for MSNBC.

From the crossroads to the gravestones, in search of the roots of the blues and the spirit of Robert Johnson. Originally teamed with Tim Cahill on a Well-Traveled assignment, "Gravestones on the Blues Highway" was later filed as a special report for MSNBC.

In search of Mungo Park, the elusive Scottish explorer who traveled the length of Mali 200 years ago looking for the River Road to Timbuktu — a signature episode for Microsoft's online adventure site Mungo Park.

 

 

Back when doing digital travel was being invented, we at TerraQuest set out to explore the route of the Inca in the Andes, on assignment from "24 Hours in Cyberspace." The result was On Assignment: Ecuador.
