King Christian IV was the "builder king" of Denmark, and the modest palace seen here was his summer home, away from the court in Copenhagen. Neptune's Fountain dominates the plaza, and the brick and copper buildings — some dating from 1602 — surround it. (Source image size is over 500kb, so it might be a long download for dial-up.)
