Amigos de Cuba

A couple years ago, when it was still possible, we made a trip to Cuba to explore Old Havana and the street life of the city. Our visit started on May Day, 2002, and ended just five days later — a week before Jimmy Carter came to Cuba at Castro's invitation, a period of cautious optimism in US-Cuba relations that seems like a lifetime ago. Herewith two graphical looks at Cuba, one from the glory days of Mungo Park and one from a more recent and low-profile visit.
